Which BCM supports dynamic headlight

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

My 2009 mk2 has 1k0XXX087 BCM, and I wonder why cornering fog lights and dynamic headlight doesn’t work with steering wheel.

I wonder if the 1k0XXX087AK BCM would solve the problem.

Thanks!

Got a full autoscan?

Cornering lights using the fog lights just switches on the one fog light on the inside of the turn. Only works at low speed. Can be implemented on facelift cars using software.

Some other make of car actually swivel a light, but not VAG cars.

Most VAG cars of this period fitted with xenons (AFS2?) can swivel their lights including the FL MK2 Octavia :)

I unfortunately don't have a full autoscan on me right now. I am about to purchase the 1k0937087AK BCM and:

1- I would like to know if it works with octavia? I know it is for Yeti cars.

2. I wonder if it will support the DRLs, coming home, cornering lights and dynamic headlight Xenon lens.

It should support all of those functions and I'm pretty sure it should be fine in an Octavia, I use a similar 1K0 937 087 AL flashed to 1K0 937 087 BA.

One thing to be aware of, if it came from a Yeti, the lighting configuration will be wrong so you'll need VCP or ODIS-e to correct it...

I gave it a try after flashing the 1K0 937 087 AK software to 1K0 937 087 AD and it didn't read the keys. A friend of mine told me that I will need new keys and other stuff.

I think I will need to find another way to make my headlights swerve as I steer the wheel.

Why did you downgrade it? Did you check the PR-codes for your old and new BCM's, there might be a slight difference in frequency?

I had an issue where the remotes would only work within about 1m of the BCM, I replaced the saw filter on the PCB and it worked perfectly afterwards.
