fabia common problems?

Featured Replies

anyone have a list or index compiled for the newer models?

Have a look for the stuttering 06 vrs thread

Have a search, was a similar thread a few months back. Leaky seals, squealing brakes, dashboard rattles, washer hoses popping off, fuel filler release braking and engine stuttering seem to be the common ones.

anyone have a list or index compiled for the newer models?

1. water leaks through window regulator carrier seal.

2. water temp sensor causing engine management light to come on.

3. the usual rear washer hose popping off during winter caused by lack of screen wash.

4. occasional rear wiper motor

5. occasional front wheel bearing

That's all I can think of off hand

you list these as problems..... it is quite disconcerting to see. are they that common? are they easily fixed?

Common faults:

Leaky rear doors... known and fixed by dealers

Power steering sensor... known and fixed by dealers

MAF - common to all of VAG known and fixed by dealers

Think yourself lucky. These little problems are the least of your worries. This is miniscule compared to some bigger brands. ;)

goog good. cos I had a clio 1.2 16v '03 and there was nothing wrong with. only issues I had were creaks. ..... I no i forgot new fuel tank measuring instrument?? after 2000 miles covered on warranty.

I must be lucky!!

hopefuly the same luck with the FAB VRS!

Mines in the dealer tomorrow for a recurring creak. Hope they fix it for good this time!!

My main problem has been numerous rattles.... sort one out another appears. No leaks, or any mechanical issues etc...

Passenger window regulator (Replaced twice)

Timing chain

Tensioner

Guide rail

Yeah I would say, the Clio 1.2 16v is notorious for it's camshaft position sensor failing, thank god my better half's was under warranty when it went or would not have been happy. It's not that bad a fault, just means the bloody thing won't start........ :thumbdwn:

Cheers,

Anyone else had rear windows that go down on their own on a vrs? Right pain in the backside it is. Suppose it's a warranty job?

no this is not the same issue. the fuel tank was not reading correctly on the dash. thats all no biggy.

my experience with Renault was excellent. like i say must have been lucky from what you all tout.

hopefully Skoda will live upto Renault!

the thread started for Newer Fabia's problems not old ones as if they were common on 2yr+ older, then skoda will have sorted them to save costs on the newer models.
