Another DSG recall today (sorry if already posted)

Featured Replies

Software update done yesterday. No, the car hadn’t been to a main dealer AFAIK since before 2017.

My 2015 car now has a recall for it. It doesn't tell me what, it just tells me to see the dealer. So I assume it will be the autobox?

So did Skoda UK actually contact you by phone or post to confirm this, or is it as a result of a search you've done yourself?

The Service Campaign work / or a Recall Action if Skoda want to call it that might well be '34H5' and a Software Update on DQ200's.

Started back in 2017 on some cars from 2013-2015 initially.  A bit of a Skoda Secret Service Campaign and not a DVSA 'Recall'.

My mistake. It doesn't show what the recall is, just tells me there is one. After getting through to Skoda today, it's a "campaign" not a recall and it is Campaign 23AX which is for deteriating emissions due to age and needs a software update on the engine control module. Whilst it is an emmisions campain, it won't affect economy, honest, they said :)

I'll have to google it...

I've just got a phone call for my Octavia 23ax recall action.

Can anyone tell exactly what this is?

Thanks a lot!

@MotardFeio

The person that phoned you should have been able to tell you that if they work for a Skoda Dealership / Skoda / VW or some partner.

If not then they have no right calling you.

Get it in writting from them. If a voluntary 'Recall Action', then it is up to you if you ignore or not.
