just keeps steaming up!!!! 😤..

so I have to keep putting the Ac on...

when I go to the car in the morning..

these water running down the windscreen... it’s terrible... 😢😢

Check under the spare wheel. It might be full of water.

Also check all the carpets and make sure they're dry.

As polluxtroy69 mentioned, moisture in the car would cause this. If you can’t see any water in the spare well, try leaving the car with the doors and boot open a little while on a nice sunny day to air it out a little bit, this will help alleviate any trapped damp.

Hello..  checked the car over today!!

couldn't fined any wet areas!!
I’m wondering if the vents are closed!!

ive tried press that button with the bent arrow on it next to the Ac button!!

it lights up!! But nothing seems to happen!! No noise and no difference..

as soon as I switch the Ac button off !

with in five minutes!! It starts to steam up!!!!! 😤😤

I’ll try leave the windows open a little!

if it ever stops raining????

thx for the advice!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

The re-circ (bent arrow) button may only work when the system is running, so with the car running and the fan blowing on 3 or 4 speed, press the button, the "noise" from the fan should change as the inlet closes or opens, that will tell you if its working or not.

Do you use your aircon a lot ? if you do condensation in the system is a normal result of using it and if its not draining away (outside, drains "may" be blocked) it will sit in the heater box / ducting and cause the issue.

Turn off the air con well before you end your journey to dry out the evaporator.

Might be worth turning heat fully up, a/c fully on, recirc, etc for a journey or two, to try drying out a little. Crack a window open just a little.

The mirrors could be down to a broken wire in the door bellow but someone else just reported mirror heater failure too and I did a very quick check and fuse number 18 (5 amp) may be blown, too.

Misting struts is a common issue and can affect any vehicle, not just Skoda's. Its when they actually pop fluid or leak, they then need replacing. Could be the car was driven hard or lots of speed bumps, pot holes, etc. Worn shocks affect handling too so if they DO need upgrading, a better quality shock might be cheaper then genuine Skoda fitments so you will have a nicer handling car after the initial layout of beer tokens.  Just because you have the Vrs, don't be surprised if the shocks are not as good as you might have expected. Most manufacturers fit shocks down to a budget and expect them to be replaced every few years. If you do get them done, make sure the tracking is set up properly again as many "Fitters" Just do this by eye and you will then kill a good set of tyres to add insult to injury!

The management light could be many things or nothing. Could be a sensor, or something simple so persevere and try to get a coding done, if possible.  I would most likely sort the mirrors myself or at least try, check I am doing the correct thing regarding the moisture, then do the coding, leaving the shocks till last as I am assuming you had an advisory. You could get that for years and even find you don't get it next time around!

You don't mention if you have a/c or climate control. (Manual or automatic settings). I am not too familiar with standard equipment on the Vrs so assume you may have manual.

Mk2 vRS 2010-2015 and now.

Condensation covered in so many threads.

Keep the A/C on right to the end of a journey.

See that the H20 is draining out the passenger door if it does not get opened each day.

Then see that the water does drain on the flat and the car does not need to be slightly nose down hill.

See if the Pollen filter is dry.

Check the spare wheel well, H20 comes in the rear flaps.

Get the Moisture trap in the boot and one under the front seat.

Get the rubber mats in and keep drying if in overnight.

Re Engine management light.

Loads of threads, pick the one relevant.

Plugs, or Water Pump, or Sensor, or Exhaust.

Then with a CTHE the TPI on the timing chain.
