Bolero display upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have SuperB 2016 3v3 with Bolero head unit 5Q0035840A no nav. I have display for it 6.5' and interesting to upgrade it to 8'. Found that the SN is 5E0919605N bolero 8' also no nav.

Anyone knows if it will work? Plug and play?

You probably need to get the component protection removed. Hopefully you will find a dealer willing to do it for you.

Thanks.

But beside component protection it will fit?

i believe u'll also have to change the headunit in the glovebox too, to match the screen.

its like a pair.

then, as @New2018 said, get component protection removed.

Hi

Thanks for the replay.

What do you mean?

Both displays will fit the head unit 5Q0035840A

@Gena has a 6.5" unit, which is significantly different to the 8" units.

Hence Gena will need to factor in different headunit being paired.

Between the 8" models, there is practically no difference between the Discover Pro (VW) and the Columbus (Skoda), apart from the frame around it.

I believe VW's Discover Media is equivalent to Skoda's Bolero.
