Fabia Arm Rest Removal

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I just bought a 2012 fabia and want to get ride of the arm rest. However I need to track down a plastic trim cover for the hole that will be left when i take the arm rest out.

Any advice about where I can find these sort of parts?

Well I use a local breakers to pick parts needed for these jobs. Depending on your interior colour but look out for part number 5J0858373. Generally you'll find one in a lower spec or pre facelift motor.

Motorhog are a UK based breaker yard, I think they have locations under the name of Synetic now as well.

Thats £15 in all... I think they cost less at a main dealer, for a new one! The part number is in the listing.

My suggestion is, unless the arm is damaged, sell it on, with the promise the buyer gives you the cubby hole back.

In good condition, you should get around £50 for a genuine armrest quite easily. I would not be surprised if a member here puts in an offer. I have one otherwise i'd have done so myself! (Kept my cubby hole too but thats in case I sell the armrest when selling the car on).
