Hi all, 

New here, just bought a 57 vrs 1968cc PD.

Had it 2 weeks.

DMF gone 😞  

Replaced for £600

Now told loom on way out (vcds) with injector 2.

 

Anyone know compatability for wiring loom? Any good pattern parts out there?

Anyone got a spare, lol?

I think required part is 03G971033M but wondered if 03G971033D would fit.

Looking at around £120 for loom n god knows for an injector.  

 

Nice looking car though. Everything else is clean 95000 miles.

 

Any advice appreciated.

Anyway, update,

Loom ok

Injector 2 replaced.

Somehow diesel still leaking pure into exhaust.

Anybody had head cracked done this problem. Real head scratched.

Started shuddering badly like a misfire.

DMF knacked and replaced £600 by local mech.

But this didn't fix it.

Codes said injector 2. Loom ok had head off. **** design innit lol. Know now why connections get brittle.

Injector 2 replaced. 

Now diesel leaking straight into exhaust.

Could a trainee mech have disturbed anything replacing DMF? 

IE ECU not operating injector 2

 

Anyone had similar, if anyone out there?
