Coventry numbers

Years ago , Coventry code changd from 0203 to 024( AND OTHER DIGITS). Coventry number range has now expanded and https://www.ukphoneinfo.com/024-code-allocations

Unfortunately some of the newer mobile networks still think that Coventry code is 02476 . One Network ( GIFGAF) at one stage charged calls to other landlines at premium rate ( there's a post on Gogle about one customer recieving a refund of thousands for this mistake.

Smarty also class  calls to any other Coventry numbers as premium. e.g. I tried to call a Coventry 02477 number ( land line  ownd by Talk Talk) to be told i could not access this service ( i.e. premium rate numbers. OFCOM class all 024...... numbers as landlines and included in my plan.

of course Smarty are being bolshie over this and as contact is by internet ,it may take some time .

So moral of story is if you call any Coventry numbers, check on the charges .
