Infotainmenr online / Connect app and portal

Featured Replies

17 plate facelift Octavia here. Having problems last 24 hours connecting to WLAN mobile hotspot in car. Also no access to Skoda Connect via app or portal. Any one else got same issue? Have tried factory reset of head unit in car to no avail.

Cheers

Same problem on a 2017 plate Superb III. You can see the 503 web service error on the in-car display (top left) so they must be having server troubles :(

Cheers ianch99. Not just me then ! First noticed problems yesterday. No WLAN indicated on display and not access to apps or 'live traffic'. Now after a factory reset I need to re-enter the infotainment activication code. But as the app and portal are also down this is not possible. Fingers crossed they may sort it soon than later.

Not very good for a company of their size - they should have fully resilient servers with a 99.99 % up-time.

It would also be useful if the Connect App and Web Portal - actually gave you a meaningful error message - such as system down we are working hard to fix it - instead it lets me in on the Web but just displays no info.

And it's not as if this is a free complimentary service. I costs real money to subscribe....

Confirmation on Karoq forum that there are issues . A member has live chatted direct with Skoda. No timescale for a fix though.

This is the latest response to a tweet I made earlier - not really telling us anything - no fix ETA - not really what I would call Customer Service:

Our developers are currently working hard to resolve this. We apologise for the inconvenience. If you could send us your contact details via DM, we'll contact you once it is working again.

Check the Google Play Store reviews for the app. Many 1 star ones with similar 'We are working on it' replies from Skoda. No fix timeline either.

I wonder if the issue is also effecting the other group Marques or if it is only a Skoda Connect Issue.

Ok update as of 2.15pm. Both Connect app and web portal appear to be up and running and showing my car in garage. However still no WLAN in the car for the connect services or live traffic. Hopefully this is a staged recovery and services will come back on line at some point.

My Skoda Connect is working again now and confirms that my car is where it should be, locked and how much fuel range I have.

I'll check the other end when I get back to the car - might send it a new online destination to check it is working OK.

Mines parked just outside my house. Neither using my phone or home wifi as the hotspot gets me a WLAN connection for the online services ( I just want live traffic updates please!!!)

I've just requested a health report which has come back OK so it looks like their servers are back talking fine to the car.

Still no joy here. Is it possible your health report etc are the last available ones on the server from when it was working and not a 'live' one ?

It could be - just noticed that it is dated 27-10-19 at 14:48.
