Just about to do my timing belt and got this INA kit from autopecasonline.pt which is a sister company to buycarparts.co.uk, we dont have a TPS in Portugal.

 

Question is am I being overly paranoid about this guide pulley. I think its a used one. It has exactly 30mm marks, has end float in the bearing, was loose and not in a seperate bag like everything else and not like a tight new bearing.

 

Yes that's a used pulley, I assume that the kit was not sealed when you got it. Worst case scenario is you just buy another idler pulley if the supplier doesn't believe you.
