Best screen option for MIB 1 Amundsen?

Hi guys,

 

I have a 2014 Amundsen MIB1 with 6.5" screen. What would be the best screen I could upgrade to which would be plug and play with my existing MIB1? As far as I can understand it would be an 8" screen but if anyone could confirm that would be great.

I too have a MIB1 Amundsen in my Octavia III, but despite asking the infotainment upgrade experts on the Octavia III forum haven't found any larger screen that will work with a MIB1 Amundsen. It seems the MIB1 Amundsen generates a lower resolution signal to the display, which none of the newer or larger displays can handle correctly.

Thanks PetrolDave, that's useful to know. There's so many variants of Amundsen/Columbus and I'm very new to Skoda so still catching up!
