VCDS trailer light coding help please!

Featured Replies

Hello all you helpful people!

I have had a 13 pin aftermarket trailer electrics installed on my '18 plate Superb L&K 280 estate - including rather ambiguously named 'vehicle specific' electrics (which is basically just that it's coded into the vehicle electrics rather than just splicing into the existing loom!)

Anyway I'm trying to get it so that the rear lights of the trailer are on all the time (similar to DRL's)

I have figured out how to get the vehicle rear lights to be on all the time using VCDS (a helpful guide on here somewhere) but what I really want is when the trailer/caravan is plugged in is for it to put the rear lights on.

Now I appreciate I may be asking the impossible, but seeing as my car can tell me that a brake light is out on the trailer I imagine it could something how think "hey ho - trailer plugged in, lights on chaps" (but then maybe not!)

Appreciate your help please!
