I had my 51 plate Octy Vrs at the dealers yesterday after the engine management light came on and it appears there were 3 things causing this.

Charcoal filter.

Temp sending module.

Thermostatic valve.

I think this was what the service guy said were the fault but he also said that Skoda have changed the design of the filter so have to get a new filter housing.

Now I have a lot of trust in my local dealer and don't think the will rip me off but

changing a charcoal filter is an expensive job. I remember a Skoda technician commenting on it being that way on here recently.
