First post, I've been lurking.

I'm looking at a VRS hatch, it's a mk2 2011.

Looks a good car, although I'm not too keen on the big chrome radiator grill.

I guess I could paint it, but are there any better options to consider ?

Colour code or black most popular. There used to be a honeycomb grill on superstore..  superskoda

Hi john493.  With my old previous VRS, see below, I had the horrible chrome painted to match the colour of the car. A vast improvement I thought. The chrome outer grill is hard to get off without breaking some of the clips, so I took the plunge and bought a new chrome outer grill and had that painted instead. Then swapped the new painted one for the old one on the car.

No messing about removing the grill, or employing a local body shop.

 

If you don't like it then it's as easy to remove as it is to apply. Pretty durable too.
