Starting issue

Featured Replies

Hello

My 2006 tdi octavia have developed an issue where the engine light and glow plug do not come resulting in a non start situation.

i have changed relay 100 under the bonnet and both 460 relays under the dash.

5 amp fuse also changed as a precaution under the bonnet.

Both lights will flicker on occasion and the odd time stay on enabling the car to start.

The 460 relay under the dash is operating and supplying the cluster but the problem seems further downstream.

I have tried getting diagrams from erwin skoda but that site isnt the most straight forward

Does anyone know where the relay 100 under the bonnet gets its switched supply  from?

Any help is much appreciated .

It looks like it gets a switched negative from the ecu.

I'll try an unlocked or recoded ecu and report back for anyone who has a similar issue in future.

Cloned ecu sorted the issue if anyone has a similar issue.
