2007 Octavia vrs

Featured Replies

So I have recently purchased a 2007 Skoda Octavia vrs 2.0 pd I have had around 1500 trouble free miles but noticed in the last week the car wouldn’t find power up until 1500 rpm the car Then became okay and then last night driving became almost impossible to drive as plooms of blue smoke billowed out the back I have tried numerous things looked and cleaned egr made sure all vacuum hoses are okay but car will hardly idle or start today ! I unplugged the maf

sensor the car ran better once plugged back in the car choked up and died would people say this suggest the maf is broken as even on idle now it’s smoking

thankyou in advance for your help from a. Newbie 🙂

Did the smoke clear when the maf was unplugged? Does it smell like burning oil?

It smells like oil / diesel but with a lot of soot I noticed on the floor got a monile

mechanic coming to plug in diagnostics for the time of 70 pounds 🙄! My previous vrs was a dream but written off this one hasn’t started so well

Off duty police officer straight into my boot not by myself haha

Let’s hope the turbo is ok 🤞🏻 But atleast it’s a fairly simple fix if it is, once done you can continue to enjoy the car 😊
