Umm not the horn on my motor. It sounds great. Scares the bejesus out of everybody. Now the horn on SWMBO's Multipla is a different story. It really does sound like Noddy's car.

Would agree mine sounds great as well, scares the living daylights out of the Cats round our way, better than my old Accord one.

Mines fine too. Waht spec is the Octy as some manufatcurers put a crappy horn on the lower spec editions.

It's your basic 1.9TDI PD Classic on a 54 plate. SWMBO wouldn't let me have a VRS.........too fast, suspension too hard, insurance too high etc etc etc.

So maybe it is a cheap horn. But where the hades is it and can i adjust the tone. My first car Wolsely 16/60 (yes i am that old) had horns you could tweak the tone on via a nut on the centre. Ah, the good old days..........

So, any info on where and if........

Thanks

No adjustment on horns these days.

was amazed to find the horn on my golf is totally different design to the rest of VAG horns.

I still have my furby horn.... i'm thinking duel tone!! :D

If you want to change it for a real bird scarer, get one of those American railroad airhorns - they will be able to hear you coming in China!!!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhhhhhh YES!

DO it - you know you want to!

BTW, where is the 1500psi compressed air comin' from?

pipe of the turbo ;)

Does it enjoy a good fight?

Complained about mine the last time it was in the garage as my G/F Furby vRS'es sounds a lot better. was told that its only a single tone unit on 4x4's! Why? Its not like I can sneek up on ramblers in it on some green lane and scare the B Jesus outta them wi the horn is it!

The horn's OK, its where I have to press that's too far in from the rim of hte steering wheel. By hte time I've changed volume, and changed channel the moment is past.

Dunno, but my daughter [who lives in Miami] tells me they are arresting guys in cars and pickups who have somehow got these Nathan 5 chimes fitted and are driving the residents crazy - they are of course fined or locked up pretty darn quick - England it isn't!

One tone on our golf has packed up, sounds awful now!

The Octy horn is really agressive, I love it!

tried it this afternoon as i had bumper off to change bulbs sounds bloody good..... jst to somehow make a mounting for it. :(
