Power steering light

Featured Replies

Sitting with the weirdest problem on my 2002 1.4 fabia folks. Come winter time my power steering light shows very dimly all the time. I have no issues whatsoever with it though. Come summer and it disappears. It has to be a electrical damp problem. Anyone else experienced this and a possible source of the problem?

Thanks in advance guys.

I had a similar problem in a polo. Cured by removing the instrument panel and sitting it on a radiator for a few hours. Must have been damp but might have freshened the connectors by unplugging them and plugging them in a few times.

A well charged battery and a dry interior will cure the issue. It is a corrosion issue in the dashboard.

Cheers guys, that would sound right. I'll give the dash a dry out.

Agreed with other diagnoses.

If possible, put the car in a dry garage with a powered not just chemical, dehumidifier in it
