Vrs tdi Milltek fitting?

Featured Replies

So I was browsing eBay the other day and bought a Milltek exhaust second hand but never fitted, I wasn’t looking for one but couldn’t say no to the price.

so I’ve got a few of questions.

When fitting does it replace the dpf or come after?

Can I switch off the dpf with obdeleven?

Is gutting out the dpf a professional job or diy?

Will I have problems passing an mot without the dpf?

thanks in advance.

When fitting does it replace the dpf or come after? Depends on the system you bought

Can I switch off the dpf with obdeleven? No

Is gutting out the dpf a professional job or diy? Anyone could technically do it, but mapping it out will need a pro. Not recommended, because a) Greta will not be your friend anymore, and b) see below

Will I have problems passing an mot without the dpf? Yes, definitely. There's not really any point anyway, from a power gain perspective.

thanks in advance.

iirc, all the milltek ones for the TDI's are all DPF/CAT backs.

There's the one which turns it from a single rear exit to a twin non resonated and then you can have either a single exit sports with a resonated or non resonated backbox.

You'd only get a full system if you take it to a fabricators, but you run the risk of getting a hefty kick up the backside if you're caught with it either decatted or with the DPF fiddled with.
