Tyre palava.

Featured Replies

Well, recently had 2 new Pirelli P Zero Neros fitted, and what brilliant tyres they are too.

Saturday morning, noticed the back was flat on the drive, so swapped it for the spare, there is a nice rusty nail about 1/5 width into the tread. As its a lease car, I have to use ATS. They decided they couldnt repair it as it had been run on when flat, and they cannot get hold of any Neros in 16". They quoted me

I lost the plot about half way through your post but - If your car is leased, can you not simply get a complete set of 4 new, matching tyres? I know that is possible with RBS leaseplan cars.

Sorry :o Feel free to ignore my ramblings...

The gist is simply that I'm going to try out Falken 451s on a wider 215/40 profile.

Unfortunately, my lease doesn't include "incidental maintenance", whilst they weight the contribution depending on how much wear they have, I'll have to cough up regardless.

Last time I had to fork out

I run Falken 512's and they are the pants.....Really good in the dry, Excellent when very very very wet..............Anything else daren't go out....Maybe it's me but..............

The :pants: is  or :thumbdwn: ??

Will I like them? Are they noisy?

They are utter crap, but if you drive well at the track day you won't have to worry as you'll be replacing them next day anyway.

The ARB makes them feel 10 times better than they actually are, I'M looking forward to wipng out a set on track tomorrow night

Are they really that bad? Bugger. I hope they are better than the Turanza ****e.

Unfortunately, its only a 15min track session at Donny, even I cant kill them that quickly.

I recently had some new tryes, was gonna try the p neros but my tyre place couldn't get 'em , couldn't get the toyo's either, so I had another set of F1's on! was fairly happy with those anyway......

wouldn't know about how the different size will affect, not much on the back I suppose, but just to add to your woes, my tyre place had the falcons too, and I turned 'em down due to the bad reviews on here!
