I want to fit the front struts and springs from a European model Octavia TDI Combi 4x4 mark 1 to my 1999 slx tdi estate. This car is right hand drive but hopefully that should not be a problem.

I've e mailed Skoda UK who say just to speak to my dealer but I think they'll be reluctant to help.

Can anyone either side of the channel give me the part numbers for front struts and springs? I'm told that the uk Octavia 4x4 petrol strut/spring set up wont be heavy duty enough for the 110 tdi.

Looks like the dampers would be the same (not suprised)

But springs are a minefield which really need the PR code from a 4x4 TDi to be sure.

What are you planning?

Done some digging and have got the listing of PR codes and what they mean..

So looking at that front springs for a AGR (110 diesel iirc) 4x4 Combi are..

1J0 411 105 AR (1 violet, 4 pink paint marks)

do you mean the dampers will be the same as already is on the car? Just the springs need changing to up ride height??
