I sell car parts and have an issue with a 2010 year Fabia 5j Brake ABS pump i sold to a customer

He wants to return it as he is saying he cannot code it to the car,he is stating that he needs the engine ECU off the same car to code the pump in ?

I have never heard of this before surely its a case of just coding it in with VCDS ??

I have no issue in refunding him just want to know for future reference,i have sold loads of VW group ABS Pumps and never had anyone ever say this!!

Yeah, I think so.

Not paired to the car as far as I know.
