Tail shaft bush

Featured Replies

Hi - I need your help. The rear bush on my tail shaft is cracking up. Skoda Australia want $1,000 for the part. Does anyone know where I can source one of these internationally and/or the part number for it. I drive a 2014 2.0 diesel 4x4 auto.

Cheers

That seems very expensive.
Is this the one?

I haven’t looked at it myself. My mechanic told me about it. I will try to get a photo of it. He said it had a metal outer and six hole. Three in the rubber and three in metal. So maybe not the same as that. Is that the one closest to the diff?

Hi Urrell the mechanic confirmed that is what my one looks like. He gave me a part number but nothing comes up when I search for it. 1K0512307. (Which seems short for a Skoda number)

Looks like you got a few numbers in the wrong place.
Is it part #6 on this page?

This is the first I have found, I suspect something similar available in your location.

Hi Urrell, thank you very much for your assistance on this. I have found an aftermarket one in the UK for about  120 ponds. I think I have found one in America for about $113 US. If it checks out I will get that one. Either is so much cheaper than buying one here. No aftermarket option here. Skoda have really tied up the parts market here.

The car has done 140,000 miles so probably should expect a few things to wear out now.

Cheers

@Meyannos

Is it the same price from VW or Audi in Australia?, it is a common part.
