Lights for rear doors

Featured Replies

Hello,

Is there available for rear doors to be installed internal safety lights (and for lightning down the place when door is open) like as  existing standard   in the  front doors?

Should assume they are placed in the speakers covers by changing with those with lights on them?

Anyone perhaps fitted those lights?

Think I've found a post in the superb section - will move to this..

Gen 11 Face lift in the UK seems to have those lights as standard so not likely anyone would have fitted them.

The lights are switched by the door locking module(s). Following a replacement of my driver's door lock module recently, i had to take it back to the garage to have the module re-coded to make said light work. So if you decide to do the upgrade you might need to upgrade your lock module and have someone  make software changes.

Can VCDS change such codings or will need dealer's tool?

Perhaps any source of the lights?  (not LED please)

Skoda did mine but I can't see why VCDS should not be used by someone who really understands it. Rember you may need to upgrades the locking modules unless tou want to create your own non standard way of doing it.

A post in 2016 shows that the lights were available new for £8.65 each, but the link no longer works.
