Trip Counter

Featured Replies

I have recently bought a 2010 Octavia with SatNav, et al. Very nice. But although the mileage is in 'miles', the trip counter is in 'km'. How do I change this to 'miles'?

The handbook supplied is not much help - it doesn't display the correct indicator panel. Perhaps it's the wrong handbook.

Which trip counter do you mean; one on the sat-nav or the one on the in the central display?

Or are you confusing it with km/hr speed display beneath the trip counter?

Is it displaying L/Km for fuel consumption too? If so you’ll need the dash coding with VCDS,

My A6 was coded incorrectly when I picked it up and had the same issue.

Thank you for your replies. Pikpilot was right. I confused the speed in km/h with a trip counter. Ooops!

I suppose it would be useful if I were to travel abroad (unlikely).

I believe the construction regulations for cars sold in Europe require the speed to be shown in both mph and kph. Most car manufacturers do this by marking the speedo with two speed rings but Skoda chose to do this with a mph speed ring and the additional digital display for kph. In Australia the extra digital display is in mph.
