Fabia Monte Carlo dpf

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Apologies of this post has been covered many many times before.

2011 1.6tdi Fabia Monte Carlo.

I replaced the egr valve last year, due to the flashy coil and limp mode problem and all seemed good however i had to regen the dpf as this also was causing intermittent faults.

The car had been fine but i noticed it regenerating itself quite a lot and the gassy smell present.

Well its now gone back in limp mode at the most inconvenient time, i know ideally the dpf needs to be replaced but wondered if anyone had any quick fixes or tips to get me by whilst i get some money together.

Unfortunately my silly scanner wont allow me to knock the light out and force a regen.

Regards

just drive at 50mph down a motorway until the light goes out, I use vag dpf app and a bluetooth obd to keep track of when it needs to do a regen
