Hiya. I have a 15 plate Skoda Octavia 1.4tsi elegance. I have a smashed centre console. Went to the dealer and have bulked at the price. I’ve found a few omnibus eBay out of broken cars for a lot less. Are they easy to install? Connect up? Do I need to programme anything? Please help!

The screen. Smashed. 

I have since bought another console- had it fitted on Friday. 

The right hand side of the buttons now don’t work on the new one- nav, car, traffic

i Can only think that there is a problem with the new device? 

Are they the same button layout?

Same model number. Identical devices. This is why I can only think that’s its a faulty console... the company are sending out another. Guess that’s always the risk with second hand ones. Have to see if the new one has the same problem as this current one. Least the screens not smashed- I can see what’s on! 😂
