I have a 07 2.0 t fsi  engine and it’s a belt

 

ive done 130k miles and other than regular servicing I’ve only had to replace brakes, battery and have the egr /inlet manifold cleaned out.

 

its been amazing.

 

only bad bits I’ve found - the spare wheelwell occasionally gets water in it.  I’ve seen it’s a fairly common thing.

the drivers window is a bit reluctant to close sometimes.
