Daylight bulb not working

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a 2011 skoda fabia combi.and the passenger side daylight bulb stopped working.the driver side is .so i guessed it was the bulb so changed it and still not working.is there a fuse for the 2 bulbs one for each side? Any ideas

Thanks

both DRL's on same fuse, so there must be a wiring problem, the bulb is duff, not seated correctly or the connector on the lamp.

@Dmessiah

?

Is there a Owners Manual in the car with a Fuse Box diagram that matches your cars fusebox?

What model / trim Fabia do you have because not all have the DRL's on the same fuse both sides.

If you say what model someone can tell you which fuse or fuses it is.

Hi its a fabia trim is general. Ambi 1.2htp 70 bhp

Im still pretty sure they on same fuse, but will check...what year is the vehicle ?

2011 cheers

as suspected, it states same fuse for left and right.

it is fuse 17, so to confirm, if you pull that fuse the working light should not work either.

Ok thanks it must be wiring then as i put a new bulb in .unless there is a way to put the bulb on the wrong way

Are these the lights intergrated with the foglights ? as there is many diff versions ?

Do you have a daytime runnig light switch near the fusebox ?

Yes there is a butto there.its on .the bulb i got was a h8

ok, so they are relativley easy to change as you just pop the light out, so have you tried the non-working bulb in the working light ?

Not yet ill get on that next to rule out the bulb.cheers

Always a good starting point! If the suspect bulb works in the other side, well, its simply not the bulb. If it still won't work, slip the good one in the duff side but be aware, a fault might then blow this bulb too. Cheap check but a pain!
