Skoda Fabia mk2 monti carlo epc light

Featured Replies

Hi i have Skoda Fabia mk2 1.2 monti carlo.

my first problem was i could smell oil witch was  the breather valve so i had it replaced. then two days later i went to the shop in my car and it cut out and wouldn't start with the epc light beaning on. so the car went to the garage and i was told it was a fault crankshaft sensor. it was replaced and i was back on the road but only for a few weeks as broke down again and had to get recovered. the aa scanned my car

@UrbanPanzer so tue car broke down again today. the aa guy held the plug on the throttle body the car would run then he let go and it would cut out so looks like I need a new plug on my loom

Well done AA man

So that was the issue (probably) when it originally failed, so there was no need to replace the throttle body in the first instance...unless

plug can only real fail in 2 ways, either the locking catches are broken off so it does not hold secure, OR one of the pins / wires is dislodged and moves when connected. I'm wondering "if" its broken catches, whether that was the original

fault OR they were broken when the throttle body was replaced

You can get replacement plugs, just need to see which one it is

...can you post an image.....

Look like this ??

yea that's the plug. I work a andrew page so i got the o.e number 5N1973206. the clip on it is good so maybe one of the wires are not connected correctly. only problem is I need a tool to pull the pins out and check them

@UrbanPanzer thanks for the reply 👍
