Help Identifying Specs & Options

Featured Replies

Hello all,

First post on the forum,

I’m looking at used superb 3’s in the next few weeks and I’m struggling to identify some options at the moment.

I’m all but set on a L&K 2.0 tdi, going to be doing at least 18k a year if not more,

3 years old, dsg for sure and leaning more towards the 190 awd with the haldex, milage anything sub 100k I’m happy with so long as dsg and haldex were serviced when they should have been.

Ive sussed the headlights, in terms of which is which (illuminated lines or not),

All L&K’s come with lane assist, adaptive cruise etc etc,

What I need help with - reversing cameras, having a hard time spotting them on cars from listings, and ventilated seats, did all L&K’s include them in the spec? We’re they an optional extra? Is there any way to tell apart seats in photos?

Doing the occasional 16 hour drive to the in-laws 2-3 times a year it’s an option I’d really really like to have.

Thanks in advance, looking forward to becoming one of the gang 😁

Welcome

Ventilated seats were an option, they are easy to spot as the seats have tiny holes in them (non ventilated don’t have any holes)

Is the seat design quite different? With the resolution of for sale posts either all of them have vented seats or none of them do, maybe I’m just not aware?

I’m going to post screenshots from 3 cars I’m looking at, I can’t tell the difference

No they look identical apart from the holes.

Are they likely too small to see from pictures of this grade?

They are non ventilated.

These are the ventilated seats:

Bugger, not a single one with ventilated seats in my price range...

Do you have them on yours Gizmo? Are they worth holding out for?

I've got them. Just happened upon a well specced SE-l. Used possibly twice in a year on the summer run through france and then back. The fans not that strong. You can feel its pushing cooler air slightly but the air con is good enough at keeping the whole interior cool. My better half would decribe me as being at the sweatier end of spectrum yet i dont get horribkt sweaty on the leather seats without the venting on.

They were a REALLY expensive option. Mine had them but no front sensors!!!!

Hey Chazzy,

Thanks for the feedback on that. Sounds like it’s not the worst loss to not have them.

Was reading yesterday that the reversing camera is a fairly simple add in and only a couple hundred euros too so makes it near irrelevant if it has or doesn’t have it :)

Yes I love them on mine, they will also be the biggest thing I miss when I eventually sell the car.

I used them most days in the summer, they pull the heat away from the seat rather than blow cold air towards you.
You really notice the difference when you turn them off.

I can believe it,

im going to have to ignore the burning desire for them unfortunately, none with the feature within my budget so I put down a holding deposit today, will be back next week to test drive and go over it, see what happens.
