First fo all Happy New Year to you all.

 

I have a little problem. Since 1 month back i noticed when put in reverse my lights waiting for about 3-5 sec to light up (reverselight). Last night they did not light up att all. I tryed several timed but nothing.

So i wonder where that ReverseSwitch is located? Any link or picture?

 

My car is Fabia MK1 2001 1.4 MPi 8v Classic

This may come as a huge surprise to you, but it's fitted to the gearbox, it has a plug and two wires attached to it. If you pull off the plug and short out the two pins the reverse light should come on.

Indeed; I drove one car where the reverse lights only came on with sustained side pressure on the stick. Since they're not compulsory I never bothered to fix it.

Hi and thanks. I noticed if i put in reverse and back several times then light comes on. But it is the switch and it will die soon i think. I know how it looks i checked for new parts but its the location i wondered about. 

I will take a look at the gearbox. Thanks alot for help
