Hi guys and girls I've got a starting problem with my dads car it doesn't run very often as hes disabled and only gets out for appointments had to jump start it today went ok drove it for 45 minutes switched it off and now wont start and nothing on the ignition and wont even lock/open the car with key HELP any ideas 

have you had the battery condition checked as this would be the first thing to eliminate before looking at other areas as it sounds like a dead battery.

If the battery is knackered even a 45 minute run won't rejuvenate it.

 

New battery time.
