Well hello to you all i have been away for a while as i sold my VRS Octy for my fantastic new extension and kitchen blah blah blah....

However the plumbing is booming down here in sunny portsmouth so a trip to my local dealer in Winchester i did go.

They have offered me the new VRS ex demo 55 plate in black magic with 6k on it, a few extras on it 18" alloys arm rest etc, and it has been chipped to the next level they recon around 250bhp????

Steve aka makefish has one he got from Citygates at Chichester, he also struck a very similar deal with Sparshatts but took the Citygates one in the end.

I can't remember the exact details other than he would have been silly not too as they took his almost new Mk1 vRS estate off him for a great price.

The car you are talking about I drove a few weeks ago as Skoda were doing a promotion at Hillier Garden Centres. Nice motor and certainly goes well, the remap they have added to it they claim cost

Buying the ready mapped one does pose some interesting warranty issue's. I know we discussed this type of thing before but I wonder what Skoda would make of it.

I bought both our cars from Sparshatts without problem and for the best price around. Initially they were a bit unhelpful on the servicing/warranty side but I don't think they are any worse than anyone else and significantly better than Hendy Ford up the road (I had the misfortune to go in there last week).
