Hi everyone, 

 

my 13 plate Skoda Citigo keeps cutting out whilst on a slow speed. It seems to keep on cutting out when going over 2500 rpm. However, whilst on idol, I can rev the car as much. 

 

I recently had a problem with my battery, however this has since been replaced. I don’t assume this is related?

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

Suspect neutral switch?

 

This only allows the engine to rev at a given speed to prevent failure when not under load.

 

I'm not sure where it's located - some are in the transmission and some on the underside of the gear lever.

 

Caution, the reverse switch is easily confused.

 

Maybe CANBus can be bypassed if you short out the switch to test it.
