I have a total mystery of a problem which started Christmas day. When driving there is a single beep noise, the abs light comes on, the warning light comes on, the radio, internal lights, and headlights go off comes on for about two seconds. On occasion the steering wheel light comes on and I lose power steering until I turn the engine on and off. I also have flickering dashboard lights which again dissapear when I turn the engine on and off. 

 

I have took it to the mechanic who has checked the fluids,  checked the battery which is showing good running slightly under what it should be but marginally. The alternator seems to be OK too. His ran it through his laptop no errors coming up.

 

His looking at it again next week but was just wondering if anyone else has had any similar issues and what it could possibly be?
