That's a full kit including the CV joint. The whole thing is worryingly cheap. I wonder what kind of quality it is. If you're having no bother with the CV joint it might be better just to fit a quality boot to your existing joint as the cheap boots often perish very quickly. Thermoplast ones are the best.

No, not having any bother with the CV joint at all

It's an "advisory"; you may need a new joint and you may need nothing at all.

The advisory is just for the CV boot, if you are concerned about it then just replace the boot.

Cheap ones last a year if your lucky, genuine Skoda ones last for years, CV boot kit from Skoda is £48, cheap ones are a few ££

''Severely deteriorated'' means it needs replacing before it completely splits and throws grease everywhere and buggers the CV joint.

I agree with TMB & Duck, nothing to do with the joint itself. See this several times a week in work and is always the boot itself.

Preferably get the boot sorted out sooner as we're in winter. A cold snap and grit/salt on the road is unlikely to be helpful to it.

Nothing major and very common. It may be advisory to change the CV joint if the boot has split and there is road dirt ingress. If it knocks on full lock under drive then CV joint is worn.

No knocks or bangs at all

Just a boot replacement.
