I'm getting an Octavia with this display next week. Can anybody tell me if it needs a software update and how to do it?

If so, is there any major difference in or extra options in the latest update?

Not sure if it helps, on the specs I got:

Columbus satellite navigation system
- SmartLink
- Colour multifunction trip computer
- Data storage device for EU, integrated
- Navigation system - High
- Radio High (China)

Maps will need updated to ECE 2020 which you download to a 32GB SD card from here...

Thank you Kenny. Do all Octavia come with the Data SIM slot. I would like to buy a cheap SIM with a few GBs to use the car as a Hotspot.

Don’t know about the Octavia, but the Columbus in my Kodiaq does have the SIM card slot.

I bought a 12 month 12GB prepaid data sim on the 3 network for £27 from the internet.

Hi, im new to the forum. I have a skoda fabia 1.2 tsi 2017. The air con pipes have a kink and has split so im looking for a replacement, im not car savvy in any way so i have no idea what im looking for. The garage have tried to order directly from Skoda however they arent responding so mechanic said if i get the part he will fit it. Does anyone know if these pipes come apart in sections or would it just be better to but the whole thing? (See pic) I have found some in ebay but if anyone h

I bought a sportline flat bottom steering wheel but it was the heated version with the view button. I knew the airbag would have a bit of a gap but I didn’t like how it looked or felt overall. So I now have that for sale if anyone is interested. I am on the hunt for a round leather steering wheel. Version with phone button not view button, but with the DSG paddles. If anyone can point me in the direction of the correct part number or even if you have one for sale please let me know!

Hi, I took my 2018 Karoq for it's annual service and MOT at a dealership last week. It passed the MOT but they have recommended the following remedial work: Engine coolant pump is leaking and needs replacing - £753 (including parts, labour, VAT) Brake fluid change ~ £100 (including parts, labour, VAT) Spark plug change ~ £175 (including parts, labour, VAT) Can anyone recommend a non-dealership garage that could do this work (hopefully for less!) Thanks

Hi All, I'm new to the forum, this being my first post. I am loving the community so far. I have not long ago got a new to me 2016 Octavia Scout. ODBEleven is showing a P047000 'Exhaust Pressure Sensor "A" Circuit'. I did a little searching around has not found much about this exact fault code. Does any one know what the fault is or can point me in the right direction please?
