hey folks

Thought id join the forum as I have sniped some info from here already. Found myself with an octy vrs estate of 2010 vintage after writing off a mk6 golf R hitting a kangaroo on the freeway last year. I managed to get a transfer of my APR1 tune to the octy for an admin fee and 25k km in I'm pretty happy and appreciate the extra load space as well as dog-space in rear. At 150k have just suffered triple-whammy of new cam chain/tensioner, cam bridge and aircon compress. I guess to be expected, although none of these were showing up when I bought it (at 125k km).  Former two I understand are fairly usual for this year E888 engine, aircon...well all VAG aircon's are inclined to stuff up in Australia TBH. Assuming I am through the worst, I'll prob upgrade suspension and brakes at some point when the current tyres wear out. The car goes pretty well and I managed to get the very early Columbus unit working with bluetooth and the music is fine for me. I'm wondering if it will do me 'til we are no longer allowed to drive our own cars...

Welcome Dan hope you popped the Roo on the barbie as consolation because we had it here for Xmas a couple of years ago and it tasted better than we expected.
