Afternoon all, I've had an issue with the lock button since I bought the car. I have removed the old switch and cleaned the contact, still didn't work so I bought a replacement switch (new) this didn't work either. I'm thinking this is most likely a wiring fault, does anyone have a wiring diagram available for this switch? It does illuminate so not all the wiring to the switch is broken. Thanks.

Check if the wiring is damaged under the center console by the handbrake, mine was and was the cause of the button not working, you can pull the little trim piece by the handbrake out and gain some access from there.

 

i will say it’s internally broken the cable on mine as well as damaging the outer sheath so you may not see it straight away.

Thanks, I will check this. My car has the jumbo box so looks like I will have to remove the whole thing to investigate.

please excuse the orientation, but you can see the piece of trim I’ve removed and pulled the cabling free.

 

is that trim piece not present with the arm rest?
