Climate control

Featured Replies

This may seem like a really stupid question.  Set climate control to 18 (like a cool car) as we always did in our old quashqai and the karoq just blew out hot air.  How on earth do I get it to blow more chilled air? It was like an oven

Have you also got the AC pressed?

And tried it with auto and not auto switched on

Well it’s been 2c here all day and if I got in the motor and asked for 18c it would blow hot for a while..........?

There is blowing hot and blowing like I’m having a hot flush.  Never had this happen in any of the other cars we have owned including other Skoda’s.

So what comes out the vents on 'MIN' / 'LOW'...?

Unless you're a polar bear, if 18C seems like an oven, that suggests a fault. Interested to know what happens if you increase the heat?  I'd try setting it to 20C for a bit, then 22C then 24C. Does the temp stay the same or is it significantly warmer at each setting?  It could very well be a problem with the interior temp sensor.

You know when you open a fan Oven door and you get a blast of hot air that’s what it feels like coming out of the vents.  When we collected her it was on max!!! On passenger side and 26 on drivers side! We turned it straight down.

Is it trying to raise the temp to 18 degrees because the temp inside the car is lower?

Every car I’ve had in the last 20 years or so has had climate control and I’ve set it to 19/20 degrees, ac on and auto selected  on day one and left it 24/7 365 and I’ve never been blasted with hot air like out of an oven, therefore you must have a problem.
