Is There An Easy Way To Confirm Full Spec ?

Featured Replies

With buying my Octavia Scout used, I’m not aware of how the first owner specced the car from new. Little things I’ve queried on the forum as I discover them by accident, such as reverse collision avoidance and a heated steering wheel.

When I asked my dealer to find me a DSG Scout, he found two of similar price, one white, one blue. The only differences were the blue one had upgraded alloy wheels & higher mileage, and I was told both were otherwise standard DSG Scouts.

Is there an easy way to check what mine has is standard, or if some of it is specced higher by the previous owner.

You need the dealer to give you the PR codes for the options or you can download the brochure and check your spec against it.

Cheers.

All the PR codes might be read out from the VIN number. Just try this site: https://carinfo.kiev.ua/cars/vin/skoda

Don't be afraid it's in Ukrainian - it only looks scary at the first glance. Put your VIN in the text box, choose English as the language of the report and captcha confirm that you're not the robot. That's all :)
You may also use the google translate in case of emergency ;)

As soon as you get your PR codes you may check their meaning here: http://vag-codes.info/

Have fun! :)

If you have the vin/chassis number and are willing to spend under 10€ you can use erWin for a full build spec from the factory.
