Help fitting rightclick remote locking

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm stuck and could use a little help I'm in the process of fitting a rightclick remote central locking kit to my 2008 fabia 1.2 which only has manual central locking.

All the guides I can find seem to be for the mk1 fabia and are of limited help. Is there a guide for the mk2 or has someone else managed to fit one of these and can give me a little advice.

I've wired it in to permanent live feed and ground but I'm stuck with the wires to the locks and imdicators. I'm aware that I'll need a 180ohm resistor for one of the cables and it should be arriving today.

The comfort control unit that runs the central locking seems to be hidden away above the clutch pedal side with the cables completely inaccessible to splice into. I can barely get a simgle arm into the gap there.

Thanks in advance.

Well, I've managed to get the central locking kit wired up and working after 4 days of head scratching. The only guides I could find were for the mk1 Fabia and they weren't really relevant. Just in case anyone else wants to upgrade their central locking, I'm gonna give a little guide. I'll write it out later and include the necessary steps.

It's actually pretty easy way of fitting it, and works the flashers automatically so very little wiring up to do. Probably less than an hour for someone with basic electrical knowledge. Should also work on the mk3 fabia the  same way.
