Alloy wheel protection

Featured Replies

So me SO got her Clubman JCW in December. And she's kerbed an alloy already. 19" diamond cut two tone so it's fecked really. I'm not getting it fixed, diamond cut are a pointless vanity so when all 4 wheels look bad I'll get them powder coated black.

Is there anything out there to protect them from minor scuffs in the meanwhile? I've seen rimguard things but no idea if they're any good?

A chauffeur, perhaps? <evil grin>

There's also Alloygator rim protectors. Some tyres have overhanging Sidewalls, not sure if they are designed that way particularly to protect the wheels.

You may want to look at Built Hamber   products to stop the damaged alloy getting worse, and possible provide some form of protection to the others.

Mrs Gaz did her (Diamond Cut) NSF within a couple of weeks purchase, and all four within six months.  There is no hope.

It's not even worth me getting them powder coated, like you're thinking about.  I might do something when it comes to selling the car.  Anything before then is money down the proverbial drain.

At least Mrs G has had a bit of an epiphany and doesn't want low profile's or alloys next.  165/80 13" all the way! 😆
