Front wheel hub-knuckle thing. Are there differences?

Featured Replies

Hi, my 2005 1.9 tdi (74kw) has a bad front right wheel bearing. I know that these are a pain to remove, especially without special tools.. so i was thinking of replacing the whole bearing-hub-knuckle assembly as it is fairly easy and quick . My question is are there differences in the bearing, the spline for the driveshaft or any other stuff between my car and the gasoline ones (1.2, 1.4). I can find a lot of those cars on the scrapyard, but none are diesel and i really dont want to take the car to a mechanic because i don't want to spend money on something i can do myself. Any info would be helpful.
