Rear washer not working

Featured Replies

Hi all

Have Fabia mk1 rear washer not working .cannot hear pump so assume there is a pump for front (can here that and it works) and one for rear

.if there is a second pump how can I replace it . Can anyone help please ?

I can't remember but I think you can get at it if you remove the front bumper, I recall removing the arch liner for the PAS pump but I think the washer tank is further forward.

There is only a single pump for both ends, maybe the stalk is not sending the signal to get the pump switched on.  I think that you can get to get from under the wheel arch liner - so maybe the washer bottle is further back than the PAS stuff.

Maybe, there must be two pumps though otherwise you'd squirt front and rear at the same time and that doesn't happen.

There is only one pump. The motor turns the opposite way for the rear window.

Easy to get to by pulling back or removing the arch liner (T25 Torx screws).

In that case the pipe to the rear washer must have come apart somewhere.

Could be but he said he can only hear the pump when used for the fronts, so maybe the pump isn't being electrically fed for the rear, or the pump itself has thrown the towel in.
