Best way to disable rear seat heaters?

Featured Replies

I have 3 child seats in the rear, and I want to disable the rear seat heaters.  My 5 year old in the middle keeps kicking the buttons on, despite me covering the panel with foam rubber & a cover.

I have a Ross Tech VAG OBDII tool & software, but haven't found a way to disable them yet.

I heard there are connectors somewhere under the rear seats you can disconnect.

Wondering if a fuse will disable only the rears?

Surely there must be wires/connector under the rear seat base. Doesn't  this lift/flip up on the Estate/Wagon? - Hinged at the front?

On my Hatch the seat doesn't flip up - however it's possible to lift up with a sharp pull on each side. I did this a few times to increase the load space when moving my son to/from university.

I can't comment on heated seat wires position as mine is the poverty S spec - so doesn’t have such luxuries

Your seats probably lift like this then flip forward, then disconnect the cable (I'm guessing one is for the heater, one is for the seat occupied sensor).

You may also be able to attack it from the switch side and remove the contacts from the inside.
