Got the following error code - 01134 - Alarm Horn (H12)  I have checked fuses all good any other common places to start?

If the car is more than six years old, the alarm battery has probably failed. 

Search on this forum and you will find many posts showing how to change the alarm unit and how to source one from China.

 

Whilst you could try to find a suitable p.c. mounted rechargeable battery, the pc board is often corroded by a leaking battery so for the relatively low cost of a Chinese alarm unit it is not worth stripping down the old init. VAG alarm units are over £100.
