Undertrays

Featured Replies

Hey all.

New Skoda user here, purchased a 2007 Octavia vRS last weekend.  Which does need some bits and bobs.

I've noticed that the engine undertray is completely missing - managed to find breakers to source this part.

However I'm having difficulty trying to source the passenger side undertray (as the one currently fitted is damaged)

Any recommendations / pointers?

Thanks all.

I think you're looking for item 5 here, but you'll need to work out which version you need for your car (saloon/estate, gearbox, engine).

Thanks, that's really helpful.

Should you have difficulty sourcing a tray locally you could try these guys - www.skoda-parts.com.  They're based in Czech so near the factory and generally offer better prices and availability than UK vendors - and they have an English website :)

[Usual caveats: happy customer, no commercial relationship, other suppliers are available, yada yada]

What is the purpose of these things other than to trick the partially sighted like me into thinking they are a chassis rail and jacking up on them?

And what is the delicate looking cooler thing thats underneath them? I cant really say "protected by them".

It would have helped if they hadn't tried to disguise them to look exactly like a floorpan & chassis rail.

Its no longer an issue as the inability to safely raise one side or the front of the car without crushing the sill or undertrays has made me buy a second trolley jack and I have to say things are much much safer now, no more having to keep an eye on an axle stand the other side of the car while jacking and having to stop jacking to thwack the bottom of it with a lump happer to knock it back upright as it tries to topple over before jacking a few more strokes and doing it all again.

The 'delicate looking cooler thing' is a diesel cooler.
