Sorry to disappoint but know one has a fix for this YET, keep looking though.

Scoobysport made one for the Impreza. Wonder if they'd develop one for VAG systems if the demand were strong enough.

How many of you are running de-cats?

Are you happy with them?

Thanks for replies so far.... i was hoping one of the guys that are running de-cats would be able to comment, are you running with your CEL light on all the time then?? Do you feel that the car is over-fuelling? Noticed any changes in fuel economy?

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris,

I think those who run decats almost probably all run with the CEL light on - there's no sign of a fix yet. No Changes in fueling, the error causing the CEL has no adverse affect on performance of the car and can easily be cleared with VAG-COM - although it will come back on again after a few hundred miles. As for economy - my 'friend' who runs a decat can't really comment as he gets around 20-25 mpg! ;)

Thanks Dave

I've given up resetting it with Vag-com now and just got used to ignoring the light!!!

I too believed that there would be no adverse effects but my fuel economy has plummeted from about 30 to about 22mpg since installing the de-cat, can't figure out why though?? Any thoughts??

Cheers

Chris
